Hello, Cascade!
We have finally found contractors that will do the drywall, paint and flooring. They have begun work and should be finishing by mid August, which means we will be stocking the shelves right after that. We are hoping to open by the beginning or middle of September.
Now that we finally have a glimpse of our opening date, there is a grant geared towards students’ academic growth that we would like to apply for. It has a deadline of July 22nd and a program start date of September. In order to apply for this grant we would need to know what the community needs academically. We would need a survey from the community that would give us an idea of what is needed, how many children, in what age group and a schedule that would work for everyone. This survey would allow us to formulate an Academic and Tutoring Program that is built for the Cascade Community.
Sample Library Academic Program Schedule (will be based on the survey)

Academic Survey
Please provide the following information:
1. Age of student(s): (Example – 7yrs, 11yrs and 13yrs)
2. Subject(s): (Example – Math and English)
3. Days and times: (Example – Mon-Wed 3:30pm-5pm, Fri 12pm-3pm, Sat 10am-12pm)
You can drop off the information in the Cascade Library book drop-off box or send an email to [email protected] from now until July 21st. We know that this is a short notice, but it is the best we could do given the timeline of the library building construction. If we do not get enough responses, we would need to wait for the next grant, which has an application deadline of November 22nd and a program start date of January 2023.
Please spread the word.
