Tumblebooks – No membership required

Thank you to our friends at Tumblebooks who have offered all libraries a free subscription to their services through August of 2020 to make sure our communities have access to books while libraries are closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate your generosity!

Click Here for information and instructions on accessing Tumblebooks
You can access these books from your internet browser on any device. Or, if you prefer to use an app for your mobile or tablet, you can download them using the links further down.

To access books instantly from your browser, click on the icons below:

Tumblebook Library – TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

TumbleMath – k-6 math books

TeenBookCloud – Books for grades 7-12. Includes graphic novels, fiction, nonfiction, drama and poetry, and even educational videos.

AudioBookCloud – All ages audio books.

RomanceBookCloud – A huge collection of steamy romance novels for the older crowd.

To access content via the Tumblebook app on your device, use the links below. PLEASE NOTE – you will need to obtain the username and password from the library in order to log in through the app. Please send us an email at [email protected] or call us at (208) 382-4757 for that information.

Overdrive/Libby – Requires Membership

If you have a current membership in good standing with our library, you can check out digital books and audio-books through Overdrive. Books are available directly from Overdrive to access in your browser, download as a file, or send to your Kindle. We recommend that you download the Libby app on your phone or tablet for easy access to all Overdrive titles in one convenient place.

Please be aware that Overdrive books work just like regular library books, with a check-out period, due dates, and holds on titles that are currently checked out by other users. Feel free to contact us at (208) 382-4757 or [email protected] if you need help.

RECOMMENDED: Click here for instructions on accessing Overdrive Using Libby App (Libby can also sync with your Kindle app for easy access)
The easiest and most convenient way to access titles through Overdrive is by using the Libby app.

  1. Before you begin, you will need to know your member number and the 10-digit phone number associated with your membership account at our library. Call or email us if you need this information!
  2. Next, download the Libby app on your device. You can click here or search for the “Libby, by Overdrive” app in your app store.
  3. Once the app has downloaded, open it on your device.
  4. When you first open the app, it will ask if you have a library card. Select “Yes.”
  5. Next, select “I’ll search for a library.” Type in “Cascade” and make sure you select “Idaho Digital Consortium – Cascade Public Library” in Idaho. There is also a Cascade Public Library in Iowa!
  6. If prompted, select “Choose a Location” on the next screen, and scroll until you find “Cascade Public.”
  7.  Enter your member number where the screen asks for a card number. Hit next
  8.  Enter your 10-digit phone number (numbers only) where the screen asks for your PIN. Hit “Sign In.”
  9. You should now see a virtual library card that shows your number of loans and holds. Hit next to continue.
  10. From here, you can explore and download title to your device. Please contact us if you need assistance using the app once you are logged in.

If you want to know what’s available right now (i.e. no wait list) select “Explore” and then scroll down to “What’s Available.”
