DREAM JOB! The City of Cascade, ID is looking for a qualified, versatile professional for the position of Library Director to manage all aspects of our library.
Job Details: Full time with benefits which include PERSI (Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho, 11% match)
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or three years minimum equivalent work experience, preferably in a library or a non-profit community-based organization.
- Management and employee supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to coordinate, track, and analyze data for reports and records
- Knowledge of effective marketing practices including social media
- Budget management experience
Duties and Responsibilities: The library director manages all aspects of library operations in serving public needs and supervises the activities of part-time staff. In addition, the manager serves as the lead champion of the library’s mission; advises the Board on a variety of relevant subjects; represents the library at City Council meetings; manages the budget; applies for and manages grants; sets strategic goals; builds and maintains programs and partnerships to serve the community; upholds the standards and policies of public library management.
